Apply foundation where and if needed. buff in with a circular motion.

applying copper sparkle...

all over the lid. best to use a patting motion.

Annd then you clean your brush and put violet pigment in your crease and around the copper sparkle, and blend.

so it ought to look like this!

Clean your brush again and pick up a bit of lavendar, put this around the edge of the violet, blend.

Clean your brush again and apply finnegan's wake all around the eye, blend like a mofo

eyeshadow done, with added delicious fallout.

I really hate putting liquid liner on. But eh. Just follow the arrows and remember less is more.

Annnd lastly, mascara! i also comb through my lashes with a lash comb afterwards.

Annd i didn't show my lips today cos they are reeeally dry, but the blistex stuff is what i wore. i tried on the Hush lippy but it looks awful because of the chappedness. take better care of your lips than i do!
I used glissade as a blush, and the various colours in snow bunny as highlight and contour.

Steel blue high fashion

This look is very heavy and you probably should only wear it out if you're feeling brave! Unless you have magical powers, i recommend doing your foundation LAST to avoid having to redo your foundation after you get fallout all over it.

Step one: Moisturise the face with a light moisturiser (i like to use one with spf because I'm pale).

two: Prep lids with concealer and follow with a primer of your choice (I use a bronzer stick by Miki, and my concealer is a maybelline concealer stick)

three: Take a medium eyeshadow brush and, after tapping some into the lid, apply MAC steel blue pigment all over the lid, sweeping it out to the sides in a V shape. Make sure to really pack it on.

Four: using a small eyeshadow brush, apply a very small amount of the steel blue pigment under your bottom lashline, connecting to your V shape.

Five: Take a matte (or shimmery, your choice but i used matte) black shadow or pigment , I used Natio eye definer in black, with a small eyeshadow brush and using a small bit at a time draw a line (within the steel blue) from your inner corner to the edge of the V. make sure to follow the outside edge of the shape you did before. To get a darker line, use more black, or use it wet, your choice.

Six: Line upper and lower waterlines with Rimmel exaggerate automatic eyeliner in black (or whatever black eyeliner you have, this one is actually kind of craptastic). Tightline (which is done basically by wiggling the liner between your eyelashes. but eveyrone likes to pretend its some big technical thing.)

seven: taking a black liquid liner (i use prestige), unscrew the applicator and grab your angled eyeliner brush, pick up some liner with the brush and draw a veeeery thin line, making it hicker towards the outer edge of your lid. Join it up to the tip of the V. Make another line from lower down, almost on your bottom lashline, and join it to the tip of the v. If there is space between the two lines, fill it in.

Eight: This is where i do concealer and foundation I'm pretty sure you ahve your own way of doing this, however, so i won't say anything about that. Make sure not to smudge your eyeshadow, and that your foundation has a lot of coverage. Apply powder! (loose or pressed, whatever floats your boat.)

nine: Contour your cheekbones (i used DB bronzer in winter), and then apply a light lihgt pink blush. Your hihglight for this look should be a shimmery colour that almost mathces your skintone, NOT white, as it would be just a biiit too much with your massive pointy eyes. Blennnnd.

ten: Dab concealer on your lips, blend it out. Apply a brown lipliner to the outside and blend it inwards so there is no harsh line. Apply MAC lipstick in Hush, blot, repeat.

eleven: Now i'll finally let you put some mascara on :) I hope you know how to do that o.O. You can also apply false lashes for a little extra oomph!

et voila! High fashion!

black and pink!

today i did a pink and black look, as you can see.

1: Foundation nation! actually that's a big fat lie because i did it last. switcharoo as you desire.

2: Grab your pearl ex flamingo pigment, or whatever similar pigment you have. bright bright pink!(CAUTION: PEARL EX PIGMENTS ARE !!-NOT-!! COSMETICALLY SAFE GARUANTEED, I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE UNDER ANY CONDITION IF YOU HAVE A REACTION. USE YOUR OWN COMMON SENSE AND CAUTION.)
tap some into the lid and using a small, WET shadow brush, swirl it around til your brush is covered.
Apply the pink shadow all over your lid and let it dry.

3:Find your fyrinnae still breathing pigment and tap some of that little floozy into the lid of its respective container! As you did with your pink, use a small wet eyeshadow brush (you can just wash the one you used before if you dont have like 40 billion of them like i seem to have, since it need to be wet anyway.)
Ugh how do i describe this part.

Apply the black shadow to the outer third of your eye in a sort of retangular shape, but with a curved indent.

4: wait for it all to dry.

5: Once dry, take a tiny fluffy dry eyeshadow brush and blend the black into the pink, moving it acros the crease quite a bit, and over the top of the shape. Also blend the whole lot upwards.

6: Apply Natio eyeliner pencil in white on your lower waterline

7: apply prestige liquid liner in black on your top lash line

8: Now carefully apply rimmel black eyeliner pencil to your upper waterline.

(THIS IS WHERE I DO MY FOUNDATION)

9: after foundation and blush (i don't wanna describe blush here as we all ahve our own technique that works for us), apply a good lashing of black mascara (who cares what brand, i mean seriously guys. its all black :P)

10: Apply revlon just ittne lip stain in blood orange, followed by sally hansen lip infusion in clear.

ta-da!

Please ignore my facial expression.

1- Your full face routine.. I go moisturiser, foundation, powder, contour (though i didn't do much contouring here). Follow with a base on the eyelid.

2- Grab your brightest yellow eyeshadow and make a triangle on your inner corner, followed by an arch that ends where the line would be if you drew one form the tip of your eyebrow to the outer corner of your eye.

3- Get a very light, shimmery yellow and put that above the bright yellow on your brow bone, blend them together. Add some more light yellow (just a little) on the inner corner and blend. You should now have a sort of yellow gradient line with a naked lid :P

4- Grab some gold pigment/eyeshadow and use just a tiiiiiny bit next to the yellow on your inner corner.

5- Using a yellowish orange, apply some next to the gold, closer towards the middle of the eyelid, blend.

6- Using a more red toned orange, apply next to the previous colour, almost at the middle...

7- Apply a nice big chunk of red next to the orange and blend!

8- Apply a hot pink next to the red and blend (make sure you are blending into the red next to it AND the yellow above)

9- I didn't have a proper purple so i used magenta, next to the hot pink, blend.

10- Use your indigo on the outer corner and then a very, very small amount in the crease. Blend.

11-Grab a grass green and make a line from the outer corner of your eye to the tip of your eyebrow, blend.

12- apply a line of mid blue on your lower lash line, starting from the middle and ending as a flick on the outer edge of your eye, blend.

13- apply a mint green from your inner corner on your lower lash line to meet the blue, blend.

14- Apply a very thin line of black eyeliner on the top lid, and on the inner corner of your bottom lashine, extend to a small point.

15- now apply some blue eyeliner on your waterline aaannnd...

16- lots and lots of black mascara.

eyes are done!!

CHEEKS:

I used a bright pink blush extending along my cheekbones, a darker blush underneath that for a little contour type thing, a highlighter on top of all that, and then blended like an insane blending machine.

LIPS:

Apply maybelline forever metallics lipstick in ruby lustre(luster), blot. follow with revlon juicy licious or whatever its called in strawberry.. kisses? it tubbed off the tube.

and you're done

i used fyrinnae pigments, a modelista palette, the aforementioned lip products, revlon mascara and eyeliner and a designer brands bronzer. Oh and a revlon highlighter.

Fools Gold

Well my Fyrinnae pigments just arrived and this is the first look I've done with them!
It uses Steampunk, Gilded Wings, Pyro, Finnegans Wake and Winter, Again for the eyes and Rvlon 'Just Bitten' Lip tint in blood orange for the lips, with The Body Shop Lip Gloss in Mango. I also used Revlon Powdery lustrous whatever. i forget its proper name but its basically highlighter. And Revlon fabulash waterproof mascara in blackest black

Once again, i'm still working on blending but it looks pretty damn good if i say so myself.
Oh and I'm not wearing foundation.

OKAY!

1- Apply Revlon super lustrous powder to cheekbones, forehead and chin (sparingly, we don't want to be sparkly)
2-using a medium sized eyeshadow brush, apply Steampunk up to a little tiny bit above the crease of your eyelid.
3- Apply Gilded Wings over Steampunk on the inner corner of your eyes and blend.
4- (I used the same brush but you might find it easier to use something smaller) Apply Pyro in your crease and blend blend blend.
5- Apply Finnegans Wake on your brown bone and blend down into the Pyro and Steampunk.
6-Apply Winter, Again on your inner corners (but only very slightly) and blend.
7- Curl lashes and apply revlon fabulash waterproof mascara in blackest black to upper lashes only.

Lips:
1- Apply Revlon Just Bitten in Blood Orange and blot, repeat if necessary.
2- Apply The Body Shop lip gloss in Mango over the top

orange pink and white

So this isn't blended perfectly but i was rushing. Wore it to school the other day.

1-After foundation add a base all over your eyelids.
2-Now add white to your brow bone and inner corner of your eye.
3-Use a light pink copiously in the middle third of your eyelid, right up to he crease and a little above.
4-now in the outer V add a bright orange.
5-Blend better than i did.
6- Add a dark pink in your crease.
7- Blend some more.
8- Now apply liquid eyeliner, smoothing it out with a damp eyeliner brush and doing little flicks at the side. mineisn't even cos I am a) uncoordinated sometimes and b) was in a rush.
9-Mascara time!

Eyes are done.

LIPS!
Apply modelco liplights in pink sea shel
AAAaaand then apply sally hansen lip inflation in clear.

And you're finished.

Pink eyeshadow was from a set by miki, white eyeshadow was maxfactor, orange eyeshadow was blush from red earth in disguise, mascara is my usual revlon and the eyeliner was prestige liquid eyeliner. Lip stuff is already covered.

Blue gradient with cateye

Well, this is my first .. ok second attempt at a cat eye shape with liquid eyeliner.
It's not as easy as i hoped it would be but i guess practice makes perfect right?

1- Apply your usual foundation routine, and an eyeshadow base.
2- In the inner corner of your eyelid, apply your lightest blue.
3- Follow up next to that, in the middle third of your eyelid, with a medium blue.
4-On the last third and outer V of your eye apply your darkest blue.
5-Apple a white or similar highlight colour on your brow bone.
6- now, using a very small amount of the white, blend each colour together, as well as blending the top line into the white.
7- using a liquid eyeliner, draw a thin line as close to your lashes as humanly possible.
8- using a damp eyeliner brush (oohhhh crafty), blend out the line a little so it is more smooth.
9- make a littel v-shape extending from the eyeliner at the inner corner of your eyes and connect it up to your bottom lashes.
10- fill in the V shape with black pencil eyeliner, and line your waterline too.
11-at the outer corner, using the damp eyeliner brush, smudge a line pretty much straight out from the corner and connect it back to the eyeliner a little higher up, creating another v. fill it in
12- follow up with loads of black mascara

any mistakes can be fixed with a q tip, a makeup removal towelette or a makeup remover pen thing.

Russian Whore

So this is the makeup i wore for my ballet recital.
it's also my first attempt at a step by step photo tutorial.
i had to leave out some photos cos they were rank and blurry or so yellow they were unsaveable.
but i'll describe it as best i can.
This is really heavy makeup because i wore it on stage and the lights bleach out some of the colour, plus you sweat it off if you don't wear much.

After applying your usual foundation routine (making sure it is completely and totally MATTE), and a base, use a light grey or silver eyeshadow over your entire lid. Make sure it's quite heavy.

In the outer corners, use a darker grey eyeshadow, again, heavily.

I didn't get a photo of step three but this is the finished eye product. Apply a dark brown or black eyeshadow in the crease, then line the top with liquid eyeliner, extending flicks out to the side.
Epic amounts of mascara are a must for the stage, unless you have freakishly dark, loong eyelashes.

Line and fill your lips with a lip liner or lip crayon that matches your lipstick.

Go over the liner with your matching lipstick. I used a revlon lipstick in .. black cherry?, and then blot the bastards!

now using a lighter lipstick, go over the top. Whee pretty and shiny right?

sorry for the lack of blush photos, i was too stupid to remember to take any :)
Just apply ludricous (but not tooo ludicrous) amouts of a reddish-pink blush on your cheekbones, with a little extra on the apples of your cheeks.

Blue Flick (pretty simple)

As you can probably tell i didn't wear foundation today.

so.

If you want to look good do your foundation!

EYES:
1- Using a small brush, apply a line of blue eyeshadow as if it was eyeliner, only about 5 mm wide, and then flick way up at the ends
2- using a black liquid liner, draw a line alone the edge of the flick and another little black flick at the corner of your eye.
3- lots and lots of black mascara!
4- White eyeliner on your waterline.

LIPS:
woo exciting haha
1- Apply a light pink lip gloss.
wow that was difficult.

WHAT I USED:
Revlon fabulash mascara in blackest black(waterproof)
Natio eyeliner in white.

So i wore this makeup to my year 11 formal, which was fancy dress.

You start with a full face of your usual foundation rotuine, make sure to use a powder over the top and also make sure it's blended into your neck. Perfect looking skin is a must for this look in particular.

FACE:
1- After foundation and powder, check for foundatio lines or risk looking stupid.
2- Take a white eyeshadow or face powder (i used eyeshadow because I couldn't find face powder) and buff it onto your entire face and neck. This may take 3 or 4 layers and you'll probably use quite a bit of powder so buy something cheap if you don't want to waste your money. I only used 2 layers because I'm already reeeaaally pale.
3- That's your face done :P

CHEEKS:
1- Use a pink tinted blush on the apple of your cheek and along the cheekbones. Don't be too heavyhanded or you could end up looking totally stupid.

LIPS:
1- Apply a pale-ish pink lipstick and blot.
2- Follow up with either clear or pink tinted lipgloss.

EYES/EYEBROWS:
1- Fill in eyebrows with an appropriately matching eyebrow pencil or eyeshadow. I used dark brown eyeshadow.
2- If you haven't already, apply white eyeshadow over the whole lid.
3- Apply light purple/lavendar eyehshadow on the inner corner
4- Apply light pink eyeshadow from where the purple ends to the outer corner of your eye and a little bit above the crease.
5- using either a dark purple, dark pink or grey, define your crease.
6- BLEND
7- Apply white eyeliner on your waterline
8- Use a black mascara, but not too heavily

So this is some sort of doll/ goth lolita type of makeup I wore for a costume party ..fairly recently.

FACE:

1-Firstly, make sure ALL of your problem spots are totally concealed and your concealer is blended well.
2- Apply foundation all over your face, and your neck. Make sure you don't have nasty foundation lines. Ew. No.
3- Follow up with a pale powder foundation all over your face and neck again. Obviously .. Blend it!
and lastly...
4- Add white powder over the top, but don't go too OTT or you'll end up looking stupid. Sorry but its true. Blend.

CHEEKS:

1- Apply a small amount of a pinkish blush to the apples of your cheeks. Most people like the whole huge red cheeks thing for a doll look but i dunno, it just looks childish to me.

LIPS:

Okay this was.. semi exciting.

1- Apply concealer and blend blend blend.
2- apply your first coat of uber dark lipstick, carefully.
3- Blot that lipstick like you've never blotted before!!!
4- put powder foundation over your lipstick
5- Apply moar lipstick and then blot. (yes i realise that is not the correct spelling of more)
6- Now using either a cotton bud/tip/q-tip soaked in makeup remover, or a makeup removal towelette, remove the lipstick in the middle in a cupids bow shape.
done!

EYES: (yay fun)

1- Apply a base (I use nivea cream)
2- Apply white eyeshadow (not too much, use neutral if you're heavyhanded!) up to the brow bone.
3- from your lashes to a little above the crease apply a dark grey or silver eyeshadow.
4- Apply very very dark grey or black eyehsadow in your crease.
5- blend like a (skilled) maniac.
6- Using a black liquid eyeliner, do two or three little flicks at the dorner of your eye, and also line the upper lash line.
7- using the same liner, draw two straight lines going down from abooout the centre of your lower lash line.
8- Lashings and lashings of black mascara on top and bottom lashes.

Yay!

I did this look quite a while ago, hence the slightly shaky liquid eyeliner.

Orange and Blue

Okay! Well this is the makeup i wore to school today. i'm not going to go over the skin stuff again cos I did that last time and some people have differentroutines anyway.

1- Apply eyeshadow base
2- brush a highlighter or light neutral eyeshadow on your brow bone
3- Use a bright orange eyeshadow (i actually used a blush here), apply it til it meets the neutral shadow and blend blend blend.
4- using a small brush, mix a drop of water with some blue eyeshadow or pigment and apply as you would liquid eyeliner, from the inside to the outside of your top eyelid.
5-use a black LIQUID, I REAPEAT LIIIIIQUID eyeliner to do two flicks at the corner of each eye
6- Follow up with lashings of black mascara.

Ballet Class! (simple)

Ok so this is the makeup that I wear every wednesday for my Ballet class!
It's a simple neutral look and it's easy to do. If you want a photo showing my full face I'll get one as soon as I can!
Apologies for my eyebrows I know theyre not very sexy haha.

1- Start with a clean, moisturised face. Make sure to let the moisturiser sink in for about 2-5 minutes depending how much time you have.

2- Find any problem spots you have (eg under eye bags, red spots, pimples) and conceal them.

3- Apply your foundation (I use the lightest shade of Australis mouse foundation), making sure you don't leave a big fat line on your jaw or near your hairline, blend!

4- Next, apply a translucent powder or powder foundation, but not too heavily. (Mine is by Rimmel)

5- Ok now we're ready for the fun part. Take a bronzer that's very similar you your skin colour with a tiny bit of shimmer in it and sweep it across your cheekbones. Make sure it's blended well!

6- Using a small eyeshadow brush, put a small amount of a very lght brownish grey eyeshadow all over your eyelid up to your brow. Follow with a darker grey in the outer V of your eye, and then a dark brown in the crease. Make sure that you blend each colour well.

7- Use a white eyeliner on your lower waterline.

8- Apply a generous coating of mascara (I used revlon fabulash in black waterproof)

9- last but not least, apply a lipgloss that's fairly neutral, i used modelco liplights in pink seashell (not that you can see it but hey)

Welcome to Seizure Seasons!

I'm Lily and i recently (today in fact) decided to start my own makeup tuorial blog..thing!

So i'm not a professional or anything but i'm pretty good. I think so anyway.

I learnt everything i know from the girls over at Http://cupcakemafia.netdiscussion.net , so head on over they're a good bunch of girls (and 2 guys.. plus one sometimes)

aaannnd I'll post my first tut shortly.

Late December/Early January there will be some more exciting fantasy themed tuts going up, because they'll be used in my year 12 major artwork so you can look forward to those, but for now it will all be pretty simple, cute, every day tuts.
